Around 1,000 data items are available per security, giving you the depth of detail you need.

You can receive a variety of pricing data including exchange (mid, bid/offer, last trade, open, close, high/low and volume), fund manager and market maker prices, foreign exchange rates, indices and we also produce daily Bond Evaluations for illiquid fixed income instruments.

For information on income, our data covers dividend and interest payments plus all the information you need for processing income payments. We also have all the data required for tracking and processing capital events - rights issues, take-overs, redemption's and scrip issues to name a few. And to set up securities on your system, we provide extensive descriptive and security coding data.

Pricing data when you need it
Intra-day pricing is available via FTS throughout the day, enabling you to evaluate your portfolios at any point. Prices are supplied every half hour from 08.00 to 23.30 GMT. As with all our data, this information can be viewed online or delivered directly into your host system or spreadsheet package.

From delivery mechanism to data coverage, we work with you to create a service that meets your needs. Whether you simply want to view the data online or download computer-readable files or text reports or both, you specify what data you require, how you receive it and how often.

What's more you can define a portfolio that contains only the securities you are interested in. This enhances efficiency as you only receive data on those particular securities. With the universe maintenance facility update your portfolio online or simply send an automatic file to FTS.

Intuitive online view
As FTS is web based you can view data online any time, wherever you are. With intuitive web technology, navigating around FTS could not be easier. You can quickly pinpoint the data you need using the tool bar and tabs. In fact, the data you need will usually be no more than 3 mouse clicks away. For example, you can quickly locate the security you need by entering any of the major international security codes or search by a number of other criteria including company name, country, exchange of listing or maturity data - whatever is easiest for you.

We can also customise your core screen so you only see the data you're interested in.

To quickly view all the data available for a security, the translated function on FTS will build a page containing all the data we hold for that security.

FTS also incorporates a 'printer friendly' function. If you need to print data from FTS, this facility removes all graphics from the page making the hard copy easier to read.

Downloads
For fast processing any data item can be downloaded in either a spreadsheet or computer-readable format directly into your PC or into your host system. The download process could not be simpler as FTS will seamlessly integrate into your system - whether it's an in-house or a third party software package.

The data files are based on your portfolio of securities and are delivered however often you need them - whether that's monthly, daily or intra-day for pricing information.

Files can be delivered in pure coded data format or they can be translated into ISO standards depending on your requirements. Delivery can be completely automated to aid Straight Through Processing and is flexible. FTS can 'drop' files into your system or you can 'pick up' your files, either overnight or throughout the day.

Corporate action tracking

Researching corporate action information can be time consuming. To minimise effort we have designed a number of ways to make this data more accessible.

Corporate action reports
We can monitor your portfolio of securities and alert you, through a Securities Alert report, to any events that are occurring upon announcement. The Events Diary report will then remind you when an event is about to occur for example on the ex date. Reports are available in either a text or spreadsheet format. Reports include alerts on:

The Events Calendar
And to increase efficiency even further, FTS offers an online Events Calendar which tailors your corporate actions requirements to your desktop. You set a profile that only displays information on the markets and type of events that you have selected. This is based on your securities within the time frame that you specified. A month by month account is supplied for each security profile specified so you can monitor past events, view events as they happen and look into the future to see what events will take place. The Events Calendar also gives you the ability to view three years' worth of corporate action history.
